How to set up your Binance Account

What you will need
- Your ID document
- A bank account in your own name
- A phone number and email address you control

Download the official app
Install Binance from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or visit binance.com. Never download from an ad or a link someone sent you.

Create your account
Register with your email or phone number and set a strong password you do not use anywhere else.

Verify email and phone
Binance sends you a code. Enter it to confirm your email and phone number.

Complete identity verification
Submit your ID document and take a selfie. This is required by law before you can deposit or trade.

Turn on two-factor security
Enable 2FA in your security settings. This protects your account even if someone learns your password.

Deposit your Rand
Go to Deposit, choose ZAR, and follow the bank transfer instructions to fund your account.
Good to know before you start
- Have your ID document ready before you begin.
- Your Binance name must match your ID and your bank account exactly.
- Verification can take a few minutes to a few hours. Be patient.
